There are three families (Pandionidae, Accipitridae and Falconidae) in this order with around 71 - 81 species and Sub-species occurs in Indonesia (Sukmantoro et.al 2007 ; Supriatna, 2012; Birdlife International 2014). These are the birds of prey. They are medium to large-sized and have strong talons; strong, curved beaks; and excellent eyesight.
